Top 5 Reasons I Love Being a Money Blogger & Coach

Do you know what topic of discussion most people absolutely dread getting into??

That’s right… MONEY!

Nobody likes to talk about their money situation, but I don’t get it though! Maybe that’s what makes me a little bit weird, because I LOVE talking about finances and money!

I don’t find it a topic that should be so embarrassing to talk about.

In fact, many of the conversations I have gotten into about money have either helped me out with decisions to make, or have helped others understand their own finances better so they can make wise decisions.

Talking about finances is an EXCELLENT way to get ideas on how to improve your situation.

Do you think that we were able to pay off all our debt by keeping it a secret and trying to figure it out on our own?

I don’t think I could have ever gotten to where I’m at WITHOUT stepping out of my comfort zone and talking to someone about money!

Today I’m going to share with you the Top 5 Reasons I Love Being a Money Blogger & Coach. I’ll be counting down from 5 so here we go!

5. Talking about money is awkward and I love that

I recently spent an entire Rockies Baseball Game talking to my sister-in-law and mother-in-law about investing and budgeting, and even though a grand slam was hit, the highlight of the game was that conversation!

I’m an awkward person, but I think the main reason I love these conversations is because in the midst of them, I can tell how needed they are… no one ever sits you down to teach you how to open up your own IRA, or how to actually budget your money, or how to wisely buy a car or house.

But I will – and you can ask ALL the questions you want and I’ll keep answering them!

4. It gives me an excuse to be an excessive learner & read tons of books

I love, love, love to read. I can’t get enough of it. And by being a blogger and money coach, it gives me a great excuse to read every book out there on personal finances, books about faith and money, and more because then I am able to teach and coach YOU better! I enjoy always becoming a more excellent money coach.

I keep finding awesome new books to read and I also love sharing them with you.

3. I meet a lot of super awesome people

I meet so many fun people whether it’s inside of my free community or through networking. It’s so much fun to collaborate with other bloggers, coaches, and podcasters.

Podcast interviews are my favorite – here are 2 of the podcasts I was recently interviewed on.

– Marriage & Money
– Faith in Real Estate

2. I love trying new things and reporting on them

It is a lot of fun to test things out and report on them. About this time last year I tested out working for 4 different food delivery apps to find out which one was the best to drive for! I’ve also tested out many different cash back apps to figure out which ones are worth having on your phone.

If you ever want someone to test something out before you try it out, just shoot me an email – I’m your gal!

1. I get to help hundreds of people every day!

This is the reason I started Agape Investing and why I continue to put several hours of work into it after about 3 years! The blog has evolved a lot since I started it – but every change has happened in order to help more people like yourself.

So many Christians have no idea what the Bible really has to say about money, and that is my goal – to help you, and many other faith-filled young professionals learn biblical money management so they can pursue their callings without hesitation!

In fact, a year ago, I had someone reach out to ask if I offered 1:1 coaching, so I pivoted and started offering faith-based money coaching services

As I’ve been figuring out how I can serve more and more people, I opened up a free online community called Redeeming Your Finances, as a place for faith-filled young professionals to come and to learn more about biblical money management.

It is a blast!

So there you have it! The top 5 reasons I love being a money blogger & coach. It is extremely rewarding and one of the most fun things I’ve ever done!

It’s a ton of work, but it is so so so worth it!
