I'm Katie Jones

I am a youth-pastor’s wife, mom, foster mom, graduate of Colorado Christian University, traveling enthusiast, real estate investor, and a Certified Christian Financial Counselor.

After struggling to reconcile my faith with my financial decisions, God showed me how to confidently manage my money in a way that acknowledges and glorifies Him.

Now, I am pursuing my God-given calling without any doubts, or hesitations due to money problems!

Before ever graduating college, I had secured a great job and was making good money. After getting married in 2018, my husband and I paid off around $40k in student loans and we were on the path toward becoming a successful real estate investors.  But something didn’t feel quite right…

In the world’s eyes, I was crushing it financially. However, it never felt like we had any money left over to do the things God had called us to do like simply being more generous or pursuing my calling.

I didn’t know much about budgeting but definitely felt like it was only for people who didn’t have money or were not good at managing their finances in general. At the same time, I  wanted to give the appearance that I was being a “good Christian” with my money. But in my heart, I knew that I was not aligning my finances with my Christian faith.

Things began to change once I started reading the Bible and what it said about money. To my surprise, there are over 2,300 Bible verses that discuss personal finances. I read tons of faith and finance books and even opened up to some mentors about my financial habits. It was then that I recognized that I was never really doing anything “wrong” with my money, except that I was using it to build up my own kingdom rather than the Kingdom of God.

After, God showed me how to confidently manage my money in a way that acknowledges and glorifies Him. I learned how to pursue my God-given calling first within my finances while also achieving my financial goals.

Now, I help believers like yourself to go from feeling disempowered by their lack of financial education – to feeling confident and competent with their personal finances through faith-based financial coaching.

I want to PERSONALLY work with you to empower you with biblical and practical knowledge so you can connect the dots to build a plan that allows you to  prioritize loving God, loving others, and also puts you on a path towards financial flourishment.

I decided that if the Church wasn’t going to teach about how to spend our money in a God-honoring way, I would need to figure it out all on my own

That’s when I developed a system to help us align our spending with our faith!

Once we started using this process, we began to see so much fruit coming from it. It seemed as though we “magically” had more money to spend on the things that really mattered to us. And we were able to accomplish so many of our goals.

I realized that these biblical financial principles needed to be taught more because if my husband and I were never taught how to spend our money in a way that was honoring to God, then there must be others out there desiring the same thing, and not knowing where to start.

Our Mission

The Agapē Investing Blog strives to bring Biblical truths about real estate investing, entrepreneurship, and finances – with the goal of connecting, and inspiring,  other Christians.

The ultimate pursuit of this blog is to challenge other believers to think critically about how to apply our faith into our work, finances, and investing.

There are so many opportunities that await us when we truly apply these Biblical principles into our daily lives.

What Does Agapē Mean?

(Ancient Greek ἀγάπη, agapē) Agapē is a Greek word meaning unconditional love. It is used throughout the Bible to explain God’s love for us.

Simply put,  Agapē is an unconditional love that transcends and persists through all circumstances.

The best example of Agapē love is through Jesus – sacrificing himself for us so that may we have salvation through our faith in Him.

In Case You Wanted To Know More…

Camping & Hiking

One of the most difficult things I’ve done was backpacking to the top of the Great Sand Dunes in Colorado. (tears were definitely shed)

Lighthouses

I really really like lighthouses! We got engaged in front of one of my favorite lighthouses in Michigan – Point Betsy Lighthouse.

Board Games

We love board games! We own over 200 board games and counting. It is one of our favorite ways to connect with friends and family. My husband recently started designed games too!

National Parks

We are working on hitting up every national park together as a couple.

Foster Parents

Foster Parents

In 2023 we became foster parents. It has been the most difficult thing we have ever done and we absolutely could not do it without the grace of God leading us every day.
