About Katie Jones

My Money Story

When Wes and I got married, we had almost $40,000 in debt, goals to invest in real estate, and a desire to become financial free.

But we wanted to do things differently from the world. We wanted to align our personal finances up with the things we valued most – our faith & our family. 

After years of educating myself on what the Bible has to say about money, I feel confident that we are managing and spending our money in a way that pleases the Lord, supports our family, and is keeping us on the path to financial freedom.

Meet Jessica & Casey

My husband and I were creatures of habit. We spent our finances very spontaneously on things that would bring us temporary happiness; things we “needed”. This put us behind on our bills, no savings, and gave us a lot of anxiety.
 
We had been making small strides with our finances this past year or so, but it wasn’t until I saw Katie’s Instagram post about a free coaching call that we would make significant steps forward. I was so excited after the call that I didn’t even wait for my husband to get home from work, I called him right away to tell him how I knew God wanted us to take Katie’s class. We signed up that day.
 
Within the first two weeks of her class, we had opened multiple savings accounts (Emergency Fund, General Savings, and a Christmas Fund), started tithing again, started budgeting, and paid off a personal loan with a huge interest rate.
 
Now budgeting was difficult at first for many reasons, but mostly because my husband’s income is different every week and also because we were behind. But Katie answered every single question we had (and we had a lot of them!) and we persevered through it.
 
Now we are in a really good place to continue getting caught up with bills, saving for the future, and paying off debt. It is going to be a practice we do for the rest of our lives, but we are finally doing it together as God intended and we are confident of the financial choices we make.
